"That's the funny thing about Birthdays... they're kind of a yearly thing."

Austin turned the big 25 on Sunday! Birthdays on the weekend are the best, because you feel like you get to celebrate all weekend. Sky helped me chalk our driveway on Friday, he had some boys over for a pool tournament and I had a girls night out. On Saturday we had a big party at the park. We had a 100ft slip-n-slide and played ultimate frisbee with glow sticks. It was a lot of fun! We got a babysitter for the girls that night. I don't think Austin's ever going to grow out of playing like a kid. I'm glad I got to join in on the fun. :) Sunday we had birthday dinner at Austin's parents. It was a perfect weekend! I love Austin so much! He is so much fun and my best friend. I'm grateful he's willing to grow old with me ;) I'm also grateful he'll always be older than me. Love you babe!

Tru's 2 months

Truly is 2 months old now! Time is flying, as usual. She is a such a cute, cuddly, and fun baby. She is pretty passive and will put up with just about anything. Sky's lucky to have her as a little sister. She weighs 12lbs now and is 23in long. This girl knows how to grow! She LOVES to eat and sleep, so it makes sense. She sleeps 8-9hrs at night and then another 3. She's even started waking up happy in the morning! I can barely believe it... it's so cute! Her daytime routine is pretty weird. Since she sleeps so much at night, she doesn't really need tons of sleep during the day, but she has a hard time staying awake for long periods of time. She takes poor pitiful naps in between feedings, which I am trying to fix, but then will sleep a good 2-2.5 hrs in the afternoon when Sky naps. (Which is why I'm blogging now.) She's so random, but so good I usually just follow her lead. She's also in her crib now and out of our closet. I love this girl so much! She loves baths and has since the moment she touched warm water. She also enjoys sitting up in the bumbo and looking around. She started her adorable cooing and shows off her smiles a lot more. I am one blessed mama!

Sundays

Most Sundays it seems like we head into town to have dinner with either my family or Austin's. It's always fun and super nice not to have to make dinner, but since Truly's been born we've decided to stay home more Sundays. After church we all usually get a good nap in before all the family time. This past Sunday we decided to take Sky to the airport out here to watch some airplanes since she has been really in to them lately. She got so excited every time one took off or came in. The best part was that we ran into Captain Kirk! (Seriously that's his name.) He's in our stake and flies the air vac helicopter and was working. I think he really liked Sky's enthusiasm for airplanes, because he took us out to show us the helicopter. It was super cool and now Sky keeps trying to say helicopter! I love my family.

The Newest Adair Family

Austin's brother, Stewart, got married on Friday. We love Nicole and are so happy for them! I didn't really take pics, but we especially had fun, because Chelsea and Jack were in town. Congratulations cute couple! We love you!

Quick Beach Trip

Last week my family went to Newport Beach and I decided to take the girls for a couple days. I'm sure my brothers had a lot more fun after we left, because they weren't tied down with feedings and nap times. However, they still love their nieces and helped a lot with Sky always wanting to chase the birds. Sky also enjoyed the water once she got used to it. She was really funny with the sand. At points she would love throwing it and other times she kept trying to brush it off her feet and legs. Truly slept a whole lot. I felt like I couldn't get her to ever stay awake at the beach. I don't blame her though... She had to be kept in the shade and wrapped up, because the wind is chilly. Luckily, sleeping is one of her favorite things to do. It was a fast and tiring couple days, but we had fun and were excited to see daddy when we got home. I, of course, still managed to take a gazillion pictures. Thanks for the vacation Nana and Papa!

Truly's Baby Blessing

Truly was blessed last Sunday by her daddy and it was a beautiful blessing. She is a very special girl. She is such a sweet and easy going baby. A couple of my favorite things said in her blessing is that she will be surrounded by positive examples in her life and will follow after them, so that she can be an example to others. I also loved that she was blessed to always be good friends with her older sister. It was a great day and we were so lucky to have so many family members able to come. I felt like we took up the entire chapel. Afterwards we had everyone over for costa vida style salads. Her dress was made by my very talented friend, Laura, who also made Sky's blessing dress. I think she looked stunning!
