Update on my man

Did you know?? That my husband is the hardest working man I've ever known. Austin rarely gets attention on the blog and I thought we needed an update on his life right now. He is so crazy busy, but still manages to be a great father and husband. Want a glimpse into his life?

Austin works at Insight, which is a normal 8-5, Mon-Fri job. Austin also owns 2 small businesses that keep him very busy on the weekends. One is a party rental business (FUN Party Rentals) and the other is an auto detailing business (Adair Detailing.) (Austin would start up a million businesses if I let him. He's a natural entrepreneur and hates working for other people.) He has also recently started delivering pizzas for Domino's 2 nights a week. Austin works so hard for his little family. We both graduate with our bachelor's in May and he has done so well keeping us out of debt. He plans to start up a Master's program in the fall, which he is trying to save money for. I have always had high expectations of my future and I know that we will meet our goals with Austin's amazing work ethics.

Did I mention that Austin also serves as the Young Men's President in our ward? That means he is gone another 2 nights out of the week with lots of meetings on Sundays. Austin loves to serve others and the Lord. He loves to help people and make them happy. This is where I look up to him a lot. I tend to focus on myself, but Austin is always thinking of others. It is no wonder he is so busy in church.

Austin also loves being a daddy. Any extra time he has he always spends it with Sky and I. Austin wanted to be a dad just as much as I wanted to be a mom. Actually, he loves it so much that it's one of the reasons I got pregnant as fast as I did. I am seriously so proud of him. He is so busy, so tired most days, and still tries his very best to be a better person and a leader of our family. I really couldn't ask for anyone more perfect for me. Sure, our life is crazy busy, and often times I miss Austin, but it's so worth it. I love you Austin! Thanks for everything you do for us!

My only complaint is that you eat more vegetables! :)

Sky at 15months and a little bit of Green Celebrating

So Yesterday marked the day of St. Patrick's Day and that Sky is now 15months old! She makes a cute Leprechaun ya?

This is really hard to update about Sky! I have so much to say. She has been learning and growing like crazy. Sky can understand so much now! It absolutely amazes me. I don't think I will ever get sick of watching her discover the world. She is a serious joy to our lives. We love our little girl and all of her sweetness/wanting to be independent self.

Facts about Skylin at 15 months:

• weighs 19lbs, 11oz and is 30.5inches tall
• can say mama, dada, juice, ball, and dog
• signs "more please" very frequently to get what she wants
• folds her arms for prayers and reminds us to say them every time we come to the table with food (of course, she doesn't keep them folded throughthe prayer, but when "Amen" is said she quickly folds them again to trick us (: )
• Sleeps 11-12hrs at night and takes 2 naps a day
• Has the same big 12 teeth, which pretty much makes it possible for her to eat anything and everything
• Learning body parts. Favorites are nose and belly button.
• Song that always makes her laugh: "Head, Shoulder, Knees, and Toes"
• Likes to play her version of Hide-N-Seek, which is mainly her hiding every time I'm trying to get her dressed.
• Favorite chores are sweeping and laundry
• Graduated from bottles to all sippy cups
• In the past month switched to a forward facing carseat
• Will attempt to blow her nose by herself with a tissue
• Loves to play with balls, jewelry, babies, books, and anything outside
• Practices every day to be a good big sister by cuddling with her babies and giving them lots of kisses
• Has a fun sense of humor and tries to make us laugh... it works!
• Still wears size 2 in shoes... makes me wonder if her feet will ever grow!
• Knows how to melt hearts

Birthday Weekend

Yup, I'm 22 now. Besides the fact that I'm 1 year older, I did have a fun birthday and weekend. Friday night we went out to eat with my family to Gecko Grill. Yum! Saturday we went on a date with some of our friends. We played at the park and played Bace ball and Croquet. Austin and I won both games of course! ;) Sunday we had dinner with Austin's family and his mom made enchiladas! I also scored a cute necklace and headband. Monday was my actual birthday. Austin was home, so he watched Sky and cleaned up the house while I went with my mom to be pampered. We got the best pedicures we have EVER had! Serious. Then we went to In-N-Out and shopping. I got a new dress and some new cute shoes! My mom is so nice and loves to spoil her children and grandchildren. Love her! Later in the day we took a family trip to the park. It was so windy and we HAD to fly a kite. Sky really liked it! We also had a few people over for cake and ice cream. Afterwards, Austin treated me to a wonderful massage. I might be able to get used to this birthday thing...

Being in Love

A good marriage relationship takes work. It takes being selfless and forgiving. It takes two people learning to love. I know that am grateful to have a husband that works with me, forgives me, and loves me.
