Can I brag a little?

I love my husband so much! He is incredible! I am absolutely convinced that I have the best one picked out and every other girl out there is just out of luck. Austin works so hard for our family. I am so grateful for him. He is fun, caring, creative, an amazing daddy, and my best friend. I am so lucky to have him and don't know what I would do without him. He helps me be a better person and I he is the perfect partner to raise a family with. It's weird that we've only been married going on 2 years. My love for Austin has grown more than I ever thought was possible and the only thing that measures up to that is to know he feels the same for me. I love you babe!

Speaking of the handsome fellow... he turned the big 24 on Saturday! Celebrating Austin's b-day is way fun! (Not to mention that his birthday is also our first kiss anniversary too. haha.) We really partied it up with some good food, cake, friends, family, jumpstreet, and a movie. I think what really made his day was that our friend Dan put in the surround sound system he got for his birthday! (Thanks Dan the man!) Thanks Jon and Julia for having fun with us! (And our parentals for watching Sky!)

8 months

That's right, on Tuesday Sky turned 8 months old! I have a disease... it's the "I could go on and on about my baby" disease. I'll try to stick to the "important" stuff... whatever.

Sky weighs like 16lds now. As you can see she has her 2 bottom teeth and as of yesterday she has 3 teeth. Her top right one poked through. Seriously, if she hasn't been acting a teensy bit needy the past couple days I wouldn't have any clue she was teething! She's amazing. Skylin's a champion eater now too. She loves chunks of food that she can chomp on. The funny part is that she loooves vegetables. Anything green to be exact. She'll eat fruit though. The only thing I know she despises are pears. It's just weird though when I can get her to eat strawberries, but I get out the spinach and she downs it! haha she's so funny. Hopefully she stays that way. She's become very attached to her parents. We like to pretend that her babbling "ba ba's" are saying "my mom and dad are sooo cool!" We're anxiously awaiting to hear "mama" and "dada" for real. Like 2 weeks ago Sky learned to sit up by herself. She now will not lay on her back for anything!Diaper changes got real fun real fast. So did nap time when to her it became play time in the crib! She's getting better at laying herself back down though. Sky takes 2-3 naps a day and sleeps 11-12hrs at night. She is the epitome of early to bed, early to rise. She goes to bed at 7:30 and wakes up around 6:30. It's really working out great for us! On Monday, Sky started officially crawling! She looks so cute and funny! Her left leg sticks out like she's trying to stand. It's fun that she follows me around the house and she's very hesitant to do or touch something at first. We love our little girl!! I can't believe how much fun it is to watch her learn and grow.

I've always been blessed to have close and amazing friends. Once in a while our high school group gets together for some dinner and laughs. I loooove these girls! And Julie's pregnant if you can't tell. Excited that she's having girl!

On Friday our ward had a dance/date night. The Alversons and us decided to dress up super fancy and make a fun time out of it. It worked! I had a blast! Dawson and Jenny are a fun couple and we love spending time with them.

My good friend Sam was in town and she had us over for some pizza this week. I love this girl to death! I wish she would forget Utah and move back to the heat. I miss spending time with her and it was good to catch up a bit.

The Godfrey's came over for dinner last night. Skylar and Austin have worked at GCU together for a while, but recently Skylar has found a new job. I'm glad Austin has been able to make good friendships where he works. They're super nice and Chandlar is the cutest!

CA Trip: Beach, 6 flags, fun

On Friday we headed out to Newport Beach. Fun and relaxing times were had! Here's the pictures to prove it. Wish I took some with our family who we went with. Sky did pretty good on the trip... though she wanted to stay in the front seat after out midway stop. Who wouldn't? I was also nervous about her sleeping, but after the 1st night she did great!

On Tuesday Austin and I went to 6 Flags and left Sky with my parents. This was the hilight of my trip! I love the beach, but having a whole day with my hubby and almost losing my voice from rollercoasters topped it! We were able to ride and do everything we wanted.
