Skylin Pearl

Sorry it has taken me so long to update. It's partially my fault, but I'm also blaming the fact that our internet hasn't been working. Anyway, we're all doing wonderful and loving our family!

Sky was born 12/17/09 at 3:41 am. She weighed 5plds, 7oz and measured 18.5 inches long. She is absolutely perfect! I'm overwhelmingly grateful for this beautiful daughter of God and that I've been trusted enough to watch over her. I pray every day that I can be the mother she deserves.

6 days after Sky's birth a friend from the ward came over to take some pictures of her. I love them! It was so fun and now you can see for yourself how adorable she is!

39 and Counting

In some pictures you can't really tell I'm pregnant...

but I am... This is me 39 weeks + preggo. I keep having to tell myself that we'll have a daughter by the end of the week... so excited!

What we've been up to

We have just been so crazy busy with school and work and preparing for our baby. (Hence why I haven't posted in forever.) So lots of people have been telling me that right before you have a baby you get all this energy and start cleaning and organizing everything... definitely feel that way. I'm so anxious that I barely want to sleep! Luckily, sleeping hasn't been a problem for me other than I just don't want to. Anyway, I think that mothers aren't the only ones that get this way. Austin seems to be "nesting" as well.

And then notice these books... perfectly organized and straight. Not my doing. Oh and he had this massive painting party one night and painted the whole rest of the house. It looks great! Thanks to everyone who helped out. The wall behind the bookshelf is a result of that project.

And I mostly organize cute baby clothes... :)

Nursery

Baby Shower

My mom threw me a baby shower last weekend. It turned out awesome! She did such a great job and worked really hard. Everything was so cute! Thanks to everyone that came! I loved it and had a ton of fun!

People also decorated little onsies. I loved the way they turned out. The ruffles on the butt are my favorite.

Baby it's cold outside...

Well it's Christmas time! I looooovvvveee Christmas...By far my favorite time of year! I love everything about the winter and holiday season. I think I'm even beginning to like it more and more now, because our daughter will be born in the winter and we were married in the winter. Everything happy happens this time of year. Anyway, on that note... we decorated the day after Thanksgiving.

First we went to walmart and picked out a little tree... I insisted on THAT one!

Then it turned out to be HUGE and BEAUTIFUL! Some people say it might die, but I think we got a healthy one and I feed it lots :)

Then Austin risked his dear life to put up Christmas lights on our 2 story home. He was seriously worried for his life, but he did awesome and our lights look great :)

Then all the decorations around the house went up. I love the snowmen!
