Another recent project of mine was refurnishing this dresser and armoire. We got this old set for free when we first got married. I finally came up with a plan... And happiness! I'm more than pleased with how they turned out! Our bedroom feels so peaceful and is much more relaxing during nap time now ;)

The start of the bedroom redo
Remember when I said we were redoing our master bedroom? Eventually I'll get to posting everything I've done, but this is the first project. Got this rocking chair for free and now I'm in love with it! I'm just waiting for the perfect pillow to buy/make to pair it with.

Truly at 7months
Truly is 7 months now and as cute as ever. She weighs almost 17lbs and eats like a champ. Very independent with finger foods and a bottle. She's even already trying to wean herself! However, she does love her mama. The past couple weeks she's just been yelling every time she wants food or to be held. It gets rather irritating after a while, but I don't blame her. Sky and I have been working on the "more please" sign with her, but she hasn't caught on yet. ;) She can say "dada" now and is always making noise. She likes to play with Sky and let her wrestle her even though it freaks me out. All of the dangerous looking play have them laughing the hardest! She sits up all the time these days. Once in a while it looks like she's interested in crawling, but with how many toys Sky puts in front of her all day long, everywhere we are, I don't think she sees much need to get around. She still has an adorable all gummed smile and lets me to go to class at church even though it's nap time. Love this girl!

3 years to us
We celebrated our 3rd Anniversary this month. (Most people think it's our 4th anniversary because of the kiddos...boom#1 and boom#2. Don't judge.) Anyhow, we were able to leave the girls at my mom's for a night to have a little camping trip. It was a lot of fun and I always enjoy any one-on-one time I get with my man! I've heard from many people that the first year is the hardest, but not for us. This past year was the hardest for us by far! We had a gazillion different trials, and once it didn't seem like things could get worse it did. Marriage takes work. Love is an action. Sometimes love is hard, really hard, when both spouses are beaten down by the difficulties of life. However, love is worth it. I couldn't picture my life any different. Austin and I know that God has a plan for us. We have grown to know, understand, appreciate, love, and respect each other more than we could have before. Sometimes it feel like making the climb back up to the top when you've been pushed down takes a long time, but we seem to be reaching a higher point than we were before. Like I said, it's worth it. This past year has been SO worth for what lies ahead. It is because of our Savior that we can continue to progress and move forward. My husband is an amazing daddy, knows how to have a good time, accomplishes whatever he puts his mind to, and is just the man I need for eternity. I love him.

{P.S. This post is not meant for people to feel sorry for us, or to make others think we haven't been blessed, because we have been blessed A LOT.}

New Year's
New Year's Eve was the best I've ever had! Austin and I had so much fun together! It was kinda random, but just what I needed. We chaperoned our youth stake dance for a while. It's always hilarious to be with them. (Besides getting asked to dance by a 15yr old and being WAY embarrassed.) They had an awesome set up and a crazy big balloon drop. Austin and I also went to the desert to look at stars and blow up some fireworks (mainly Austin's deal.) We had some great talks and are so pumped for 2012! 2011 was filled with trials for us. (Not that we didn't have really good times, but you know what I mean.) Though we know how much we've learned from them, grown closer together, and have discovered better goals in life, we are glad that it's behind us! haha. 2012 is our year. We, individually, and as a family have perfectly obtainable goals that fit our needs just right. :) It's going to rock! Proud to say we've come out on top! Here's to a successful and joyous year!

Christmas 2011
We had a wondeful Christmas Season! It was fun teaching Sky about all the traditions, and of course having Truly for her 1st one. Austin and I decided we wanted to save money to redo our room, so we saved money for that and made each other presents this year. We did a pretty good job! We were both very happy:)
Christmas Eve was spent having pizza fondu at Grandpa and Grandma Stewart's, going to see temple lights, and having a white elephant gift exchange at the Adair's.
Christmas we woke up and did our thing :) We then went to the Thomas' for breakfast and more gifts. (We got hooked up! Thanks Nana and Papa!) We went to the Adair's later to join them for church and more gift exchanging. (Sky loves her baby cradle!) It was a great day filled with family. We feel so blessed and the Christmas season always makes it more noticeable. We are very grateful for the gospel and for the knowlwedge of our Savior.
