That I could feel guilty using the restroom.
What being interrupted in the shower really meant.
That spit-up would be my new perfume.
What being exhausted really feels like.
That I could handle being pooped and peed on without throwing up.
I also didn't know...
That I could love someone this much.
That someone's smile or laugh could make me just as happy the 100th time as it did the first.
That a sweet, innocent spirit could bring so much joy to a home.
That someone could be so excited to see me (even if I've been gone for just a minute).
That I could worry as much as I do.
That I would cry all the time from the love and spirit I feel from my daughter.
What being a mom really meant.
I am so grateful to be mother. It has changed my life and I can't imagine it being any other way. Austin made mother's day so great for me! He is always so good about making me feel wonderful when I feel so inadequate. We had a great time with each other and our mom's!
And it's true what they say: you learn to appreciate your mom more when you become one.
Seriously, you couldn't want this?
